SCHOOL SPORTS NON-PAID VOLUNTEER
Each school sports program has an set number of approved non-paid volunteers. Volunteers must apply and be hired in our online system.
Upon hire, non-paid volunteers are required to complete the same paperwork as paid coaches. The requirements are listed below. Human Resources will contact you to schedule an appointment to collect the required information and process your criminal background test.
1. You must return a completed KDE Medical Examination of School Employees Form. This form will be provided to you, and you must make an appointment with your doctor to receive three tests: a health exam, TB risk assessment, and drug test. If you choose to get these tests at Baptist Health (270-825-7351), please indicate that you are a new employee for the school district. The TB risk assessment and medical exam can be completed wherever you choose, however, the drug test MUST be completed at Baptist Health. The cost is $40, and you will not be reimbursed for this test.
2. You must complete and pass a criminal background check. The cost is $33.25, and the district does not reimburse you for the cost.
3. You must completed a CAN report (Child abuse and Neglect). The cost is $10.00, and the district does not reimburse you for the cost.
3. You must bring with you to your appointment: social security card, copy of your high school diploma, driver's license, and any forms/paperwork not submitted online.
